Welcome to our Youth Ministry

Mission Statement Our goal each week is to bring God to our young people through fun, fellowship, worship, passion, and understanding. We want to teach today’s youth daily principles and applications of how to have an intimate relationship with God. Youth Pastors: Dave & Heather Cox  We are standing firm in our faith that in 2008 our youth are going to be spilling over with a new passion for God and a hunger to serve, worship, and walk daily in His presence. We believe that every one of our “Pathfinders” has a spiritual gift inside of them, but they just need a little instruction on how to manifest those gifts.                                                                 Deuteronomy 6:6-7  And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be (first) in your own minds and hearts (then) you shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the (minds and) hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.   "Our Testimony" ~ Dave and Heather Cox For quite some time, the Lord had been directing our hearts and lives toward The Ministry. Although we weren’t aware of what Ministry we would be used in, we knew a passion was being stirred for an amazing work for the Lord.  After much prayer and understanding, the Lord let us know that our calling was with the youth. God has given us an overwhelming passion for His children. We have come to love them as though they are our own. We are so thankful and excited that our Lord has chosen us to be a part of His magnificent movement that is taking place at Victory Tabernacle Community Church.

Current Study This summer we have been focusing on God’s “Game-Plan” for our lives. According to Jeremiah 29:11,  God has a perfectly designed plan specifically mapped out for you and for me!   We wanted to ensure that the Pathfinders understood that they are each unique individuals in the eyes if God! He has a special work for us to do, and has made available to us everything we will need to finish the race! With the new school year approaching it is evident that our society is just growing darker. Our school system is like a war zone and if our kids are not spiritually prepared,  they will get trapped in battle!  God has placed a mission in our hearts to disciple the youth and equip them with everything they will need to go out and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. The course of equipping has ranged from Number one, Prayer- God is our source and supply and without a direct connection to Him, we would be walking blindly. Secondly, evaluating our lives individually and then socially- making sure that everything in us and around us will not distract us from God. Third, making sure we put on the armor of God- the proper equipment for the battle. Fourth, realizing that our steps are ordered- The Bible says that God is always working, we should see every situation as an opportunity to ask God what He would have us do!       It is so amazing watching the youth grow in their passion and knowledge for God. We are very excited to be a part of what God is doing in this generation! God has instilled in their hearts an extreme desire to be active in His power and to be filled with wisdom and determination to win the lost.   We invite you to come and join the Pathfinders and become a part of what God is doing in the hearts of today’s youth!  Their enthusiasm is inviting and their flame is contagious!
